FASTENERS ARE THE
SAME FROM SIDE TO SIDE

BUMPER

FRAME

1.

Lower the spare tire from the underside of the vehicle.

2.

Using the 7/16 wire pulls, insert the 7/16 Carriage bolts and 3/16 x 1” x 2” blocks through the end of the vehicle bumper structure

and through the existing holes. Keep wire pulls attached to bolts until hitch is in position.

3.

Raise hitch into position and loosely install 7/16 Conical toothed washers and 7/16 Hex nuts as shown above.

4.

Using the ½ wire pull insert the ½ Carriage bolts and ¼ X 1” X 3” Blocks through the side holes in the vehicle frame structure to

the existing holes in the vehicle frame rails and through the receiver.

5.

Install ½ Conical toothed washers and ½ hex nuts.

6.

Tighten all fasteners to the required torque specifications.

7.

Raise spare tire back into position.

Tighten all 1/2-13 Gr5 fasteners with torque wrench to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N*M)

Tighten all 7/16-14 Gr5 fasteners with torque wrench to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N*M)

Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to
prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working
beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
This product complies with safety specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5
and SAE J684.
