Main features
• This is a footswitch that combines the functionality of both the FS-5L (latch type) and FS-5U (momentary
type).
• It can be used with BOSS/Roland products that work with the FS-5L or the FS-5U.
* An AC adaptor (PSA series: sold separately) is required in order to use the FS-7. If you are using only
momentary operation, the FS-7 can be used without connecting an AC adaptor.
[POLARITY] switch setting
To make the FS-7 match the FS-5L or FS-5U
polarity setting that’s given in the owner’s
manual of the connected device, set this switch
as follows.
FS-5L, FS-5U FS-7
Set to the “I”
position
* With this setting, the switch is in the “open”
state when on, and “closed” when off .
Use without connecting an AC adaptor
You can use the FS-7 with momentary operation
even if no AC adaptor is connected.
It will operate with the following settings
regardless of how each switch is actually set.

Pedal switch A (B)
These operate as switches for the
device that’s connected to jack A (B).
A (B) indicators
If the [MODE] switch is set to FS-5L
(LATCH), the indicator lights or
goes dark each time you press the
pedal switch.
If the [MODE] switch is set to FS-5U
(MOMENTARY), the indicator lights
only while you hold down the
pedal switch.
[POLARITY] switch
This switches the polarity of the pedal switches. Refer to the owner’s manual of device that you’re
connecting, and set the polarity appropriately.
[MODE] switch
This specifi es how the pedal switches will operate.
Setting Explanation
FS-5L (LATCH) The setting turns on/off each time you press a pedal switch (latch
operation).
FS-5U (MOMENTARY) The setting is on while you hold down the pedal switch, and off when you
release it (momentary operation).
A (B) jacks
Connect these jacks to the devices
that you want to control using pedal
switch A (B). Use cables with 1/4”
phone plugs.
MEMO
If you connect a 1/4” stereo
phone plug cable to jack B, you
can use it with a device that has a
1/4” TRS phone plug.
* In this case, don’t connect
anything to jack A.
DC IN jack
Connect an AC adaptor (PSA series: sold separately) to this
jack. By using the included parallel DC cable you can branch
the power supply to other eff ect units.
* Use only the specifi ed AC adaptor (PSA series: sold
separately), and make sure that your AC outlet is the
correct voltage.

• Este é um pedal que combina a funcionalidade do FS-5L (tipo engate) com o FS-5U (tipo transitório).
• Ele pode ser usado com os produtos BOSS/Roland que funcionam com o FS-5L ou FS-5U.
* É necessário um adaptador CA (série PSA: vendido separadamente) para usar o FS-7. Se estiver utilizando
somente operação transitória, o FS-7 pode ser usado sem se conectar a um adaptador CA.

Para que FS-7 corresponda ao ajuste de polari-

esta chave conforme abaixo.

Belangrijkste functies
• Dit is een voetschakelaar die de functionaliteit van zowel de FS-5L (vergrendelend type) als de FS-5U

Voetschakelaar A (B)
Ze fungeren als schakelaars voor de
apparaten die zijn aangesloten op
aansluiting A, resp. (B).
Indicator A (B)
Wanneer de [MODE]-schakelaar op
FS-5L (LATCH) wordt gezet, licht
het indicatielampje op of dooft
dit telkens u de voetschakelaar
indrukt.
Wanneer de [MODE]-schakelaar op
FS-5U (MOMENTARY) wordt gezet,
licht het indicatielampje alleen
op wanneer u de voetschakelaar
ingedrukt houdt.
[POLARITY]-schakelaar
Die schakelt de polariteit van de voetschakelaars om. Raadpleeg de gebruikershandleiding van het
apparaat dat u aansluit en stel de polariteit overeenkomstig in.
[MODE]-schakelaar
Die specifi eert hoe de voetschakelaars zullen werken.
Instelling Uitleg
FS-5L (LATCH) Met deze instelling schakelt het apparaat in/uit telkens u een voetschakelaar
indrukt (vergrendelende werking).
FS-5U (MOMENTARY) Met deze instelling is het apparaat ingeschakeld wanneer u de voetschakelaar
ingedrukt houdt en uitgeschakeld wanneer u die loslaat (momentane werking).
Aansluiting A (B)
Sluit deze aansluitingen aan op de
apparaten die u met voetschakelaar A
(B) wenst te bedienen. Maakt gebruik
van kabels met 1/4"-jackpluggen.
MEMO
Wanneer u een kabel met
stereo 1/4"-jackplug aansluit
op aansluiting B, dan kunt u die
gebruiken met een apparaat met
een TRS 1/4"-plug.
* Sluit in dit geval niets aan op
aansluiting A.
DC IN-aansluiting
Sluit een netstroomadapter (PSA-reeks: apart verkrijgbaar) aan
op deze aansluiting. Met behulp van de parallelle DC-kabel
kunt u de voeding doorschakelen naar andere eff ectapparaten.
* Gebruik alleen de opgegeven netstroomadapter
(PSA-reeks: apart verkrijgbaar) en zorg dat uw stopcontact
de juiste spanning heeft.
