To start the recovery process:
1

Restart the system.

While the eMachines logo is showing, press <Alt> + <F10> at the same time
to enter the recovery process.

Refer to the onscreen instructions to perform system recovery.

Important! This feature occupies 10 GB in a hidden partition on
your hard disk.

I want to restore my computer to its original settings using a
recovery disc. (only for certain models)

The Recovery disc will help you to restore the hard drive with the original
software content that was installed when you purchased your notebook. Follow
the steps below to rebuild your hard drive. Your drive will be reformatted and
all data will be erased. It is important to back up all data files before you use
this option.

Press the power button to turn the system on.

Press F2 during the Power-On Self-Test (when the eMachines logo is
displayed on screen after bootup) to enter BIOS Setup.

Select the Boot menu.

Refer to onscreen instructions to set the first device to any bootable optical
disc drive.

Insert the Recovery disc into the selected optical disc drive.

Select Exit Saving Changes from the Exit menu or press F10.

Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation process.

Restart your computer. Linpus Linux installation will finish.

How do I upgrade to the latest version of Firefox?
(only for certain models)

Go to http://rpm.pbone.net/

Type Firefox in the search bar

Look for Fedora 6 package
Note: There are multiple Firefox RPM packages you can choose from. For
example, to upgrade to Firefox 2.0.0.11, you can search for firefox-2.0.11-
1.fc8.remi.i386.rpm package and download.

After downloading, run rpm -Uvh firefox-2.0.0.11-1.fc6.remi.i386.rpm (in
Konsole).

You should have successfully upgraded your Firefox.
